I first started coming to Potomac Physical Medicine when I was experiencing back pain that continuously got worse over time. I had been wanting to start CrossFit, but my back pain kept me from being as active as I wanted to be. Over the course of six weeks, I was directed to great videos with at-home exercises to help strengthen my core and alleviate my back pain, came into the office for adjustments and electrical muscle stimulation, and started attending yoga classes a few days a week. Yoga, combined with Dr. Fontaine's treatment, took my pain from a seven to a two, in just a month and a half. After six weeks, I started my CrossFit journey and haven't looked back. It's been about nine months since my first appointment and back pain no longer holds me back from being active. I cannot recommend Potomac Physical Medicine enough! Dr. Fontaine treats the problem with the highest quality care and after every appointment, I leave feeling better than ever.
